Please Note: All courses are full for the year. Cody's new 2011 Calendar will be launched this October. Email us if you would like to be added to the mailing list!
Important: Due to the hands-on nature of our courses, enrollment is limited. We suggest that you enroll early. Acceptance is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Step one...
Download the enrollment application form or contact us if you’d like us to send you a paper brochure with an application form.

Step two...
Send us your completed enrollment application along with the full course tuition, to:
Cody Lundin / ALSS, LLC
P.O. Box 3064
Prescott, Arizona 86302 USA

Important! Please make money orders or cashiers checks, (in US dollars), or in-state personal checks payable to “Cody Lundin”, not ALSS. We do not accept out-of-state personal checks.

You also have the option of paying with PAYPAL (US residents only). Please note: If you choose to use PayPal, a fee of 3% will be added to your total course tuition to cover PayPal fees. Contact us if you want to use this option.

If paying the full course tuition upfront is a hardship, contact us about possible deposit and payment options.

What happens next ...Within three weeks of receiving your enrollment, we’ll send you a course packet containing a comprehensive gear list, course information, release forms and travel details. Unless your adventure states otherwise, you supply your own gear and food for the experience. Transportation is provided to and from the course site. During multi-day field courses, secure parking is provided for your vehicle. Students younger than 15 years old are welcome, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Most courses begin at 9:00 a.m. and end about 5:00 p.m. the last day of the course. Have questions?? Call us at (928) 713-1651.

A note about “gear” for classes: The gear you’ll need for your adventure depends upon the course you choose. Even so, no ALSS class has a heavy emphasis upon modern gear. The gear required for most courses is extremely simple such as a backpack, sleeping bag or wool blanket, water bottles, knife, and extra clothing. Students who don’t have basic backpacking gear often rent supplies from a local outdoor store or borrow items from a friend. Because our courses are taught outdoors, and weather and climate factors are fickle, our gear lists remain flexible so we can edit them for safety and effectiveness. Static, one-size-fits-all gear lists featured on some web sites ignore the reality of a changing wilderness and the hundreds of variables that exist. If you’re worried about not having the right equipment, remember, the ALSS experience revolves around doing more with less, not buying expensive seldom used specialty gear.

ALSS Cancellation and Refund Policy: To maintain the highest quality of hands-on instruction possible, each ALSS program enrolls a limited number of students. When you choose to enroll in one of these precious slots, and then cancel near the course run date, you prevent others from enjoying the experience. Also, partially filled courses are not economical to run, and we are forced to scramble to try to fill your spot with limited notice. In addition, while “invisible” to the student, much time and money is spent preparing for you to attend a course. Our cancellation and refund policy reflect the fact that it’s impossible to recover these upfront costs. Please note that there is a non-refundable $100 processing fee per course.

  • If you cancel 30 days or more prior to the course dates.....full tuition refund minus the $100 fee.
  • If you cancel 29 to 15 days prior to the course dates.....half tuition refund minus the $100 fee.
  • If you cancel 14 days or less prior to the course dates.....no refund can be given. No exceptions.

Students who leave a course once it has begun, due to sickness, evacuation or any other reason, will not be entitled to a refund.
If ALSS cancels a course, a full refund will be given.
ALSS assumes no responsibility for any additional expenses incurred as a result of cancellation.
